Annual Grafting Day at the Heritage Apple Collection, Petty's Orchard 6th Aug 10am-1pm

Heritage Fruits Society's annual grafting day at Petty's Orchard is this coming Sunday!

If you're volunteering to help at the event:
  • No special skills are required - willingness to learn and a positive attitude are the only essentials
  • Please arrive around 9.00am to help set things up for the event
  • The first hour or two are usually the busiest - so if you can only come for part of the event, that's when your help would be most appreciated
If you're coming to the event to gawk, natter or maybe even buy stuff, here's what we're offering for sale on the day, all at very reasonable prices:
  • Around 100 varieties of apple scions (budwood), optionally grafted onto rootstock while you wait
  • Scion wood from our other 200-ish apple varieties on request (subject to availability)
  • About 50 varieties of two-year-old pre-grafted apple trees
  • A range of varieties of stone fruit trees (plums, apricots and more)
  • ... and we will also run guided tours of the unique Heritage Apple Collection (sturdy footwear is strongly recommended).
When: Sunday 6 August 2017, 10am to 1pm

Where: 1 Homestead Road, Templestowe - follow the signs and look for the big white marquee
Melway 22 A11

This is their biggest public event of the year, so don't miss it! But if you do, their final grafting day for the year will be at CERES Environment Park, Brunswick next Saturday August 12 from 10am to 1pm.
